  • Want to be involved in policy, but unable to devote time to a formal position? Our monthly public policy meetings are open invitation to any members or students who wish to drop in! Join as you are able to learn more about policy, and, if interested, volunteer for small policy-related tasks. We typically meet on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM CST. Email policyeatrightiowa@gmail.com for more information.

Our lobbyist team is essential to advancing the Iowa Academy’s policy priorities related to the dietetics profession and the communities we serve. Our Public Policy volunteers do not have the time, capacity, and relationships at the Capitol that are necessary for successful advocacy.
