RECOGNIZED YOUNG DIETITIAN

Amber Baughman, MS, RD,LD

 

Amber’s undergraduate degrees in Kinesiology and Health and Dietetics, internship, and Masters in Nutritional Sciences were completed through Iowa State University. 

 

After first working as a Clinical Dietitian at MercyOne in Dubuque where she discovered a love for teaching, she is now a Clinical Assistant Professor at ISU teaching undergraduate dietetics students. In her letter, she states “It is a privilege to educate, inspire, and empower students to be the best future dietitians and nutrition experts they can be.” Amber has leadership roles at ISU and is involved with the Iowa Board and Council as the Region Director for Central Iowa.Her peers relay that Amber has demonstrated her leadership and passion for the profession of dietetics and is an incredibly driven, dedicated, talented and positive individual.

 

Recognized Young Dietitian: To recognize the competence and activities of younger dietetic professionals in the Iowa Academy and to encourage their continued participation in The Academy.
