Congratulations to our 2024 Outstanding Dietitian of the Year
Jody Gatewood, MS, RD, LD
Jody has held multiple positions on the IAND board from meeting chair to president.. and then back to meeting chair last year. In her work with the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach she has helped provide nutrition education and resources across the state of Iowa and the nation. As well as, served as a preceptor for the Iowa State dietetic internship for many years.
Jody brings a thoughtful approach to leadership within the Iowa Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She takes the time to listen and make sure everyone is included in the conversation. Her honesty, friendly and considerate nature are qualities that make her a natural leader and a mentor to young dietetic professionals.
The outstanding dietitian of the year award recognizes the commitment to excellence made by an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to the profession.
