Congratulations to our 2024 Medallion Award Recipient
Mridul Datta, PhD, MS, RD, LD, FAND
During her seven years as a faculty member at Iowa State, Mridul has led a program for a growing number of dietetic students each year. She works closely with students as a mentor in the Directors in Nutrition and Dietetics Educators and Preceptors (NDEP) group for new program directors, impacting hundreds of students outside of Iowa State’s program. In addition to her mentorship role within Iowa State University, Mridul is a mentor in the Central Iowa District Dietetic Association (CIDDA). She meets with young dietitians in central Iowa one-on-one to guide them in their early career stage, determine future career paths, and share her leadership skills.
The Medallion Award recognizes a member of the Iowa Academy who has demonstrated leadership above and beyond job requirements in either the Iowa Academy or place of employment and has made outstanding contributions to the dietetic profession.
