“Welcome to My Kitchen” is a virtual culinary and learning session that will provide attendees an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultures and identities different from their own via a virtual cooking demonstration.
On March 27th at 6-7pm CST our first presenter will lead us in preparing a recipe – 3-Bean Midwestern Chili – that celebrates their familial heritage and National Nutrition Month!
Allie Lansman, MPH, RDN, LD (she/her) is a fat, queer dietitian currently serving as the Iowa Academy IDEA Chair, and a professional leading systems-level transformation at the intersection of food systems, environment, and social justice.
All are welcome to join, make a delicious dinner, and gain an understanding of how the environmental impact of our food impacts equitable nutrition access.
