Mercy Medical Center is seeking a full-time Dietitian to support our hospital based Dietitians and to work with our Hospice patients and their families, at the Hospice House of Mercy and via home visits. Our Dietitians are highly motivated, creative, and flexible in carrying out their responsibility to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to our patients. This includes assessing the nutritional needs of patients, coordinating nutrition intervention with the interdisciplinary team, developing nutrition care plans and providing nutrition education. You will make recommendations to physicians for appropriate nutrition intervention to improve patient care/outcome to decrease length of stay. You will participate in performance improvement data collection and assessment of outcome data and may also represent Mercy Medical Center in our Outpatient Programs and community outreach efforts. Applicants must be ADA Registered and Licensed to practice in Iowa. Applicants will have the ability to effectively communicate with patient care staff and other support staff, as well as being a self-motivated, team player. Hospital experience is preferred.
