Present Position and Title:

Previous Positions:

I began my career as a WIC nutritionist. I moved into various areas of hospital clinical nutrition. I enjoyed being an outpatient educator and doing wellness presentations. 

I co-owned a consulting business in Minneapolis and taught a geriatric nutrition course at the University of Minnesota. 

In Iowa, I have consulted in long term care facilities since 2001.

Education :

I received my Bachelors of Science in Food and Nutrition from Iowa State University. 

My dietetic internship was completed at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center in the Twin Cities.

Professional Activities:

I have not been a committee member since returning to Iowa.  I have held previous professional positions for the Twin Cities Consultant Dietitians as a board member program co-chair for four elected years and as board liaison to recruit/retain new members.

My Goals and Vision for IDA:

I would enjoy the opportunity to get involved in IDA as a board member.   I envision IDA to continue to present differing or new perspectives on subjects. I like learning a new way to look at areas of our profession. IDA is a way of connecting with other members to share ideas across the state.
