We are actively seeking a full time Consulting Registered Dietitian and a Contract Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic team. The Consulting RD/RDN (employee) will be located in the greater Omaha area and Western Iowa. The Contract Consulting RD/RDN is for 2 days per week south of Des Moines and provides opportunity for growth into full-time employment status.
Our consultants include both Registered Dietitians and Qualified Dietary Managers servicing over 65 facilities across the state of Nebraska and Western Iowa; including Skilled Rehabilitation and Long Term Care communities, Assisted Living Communities, Critical Access Hospitals and Dialysis Units.
The consultant will provide nutrition and food service oversight to our long term care, assisted living and critical access hospitals. Primary responsibilities include providing nutrition services to residents living in a long term care, assisted living, and/or independent living setting; work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide patient care; and provide support and guidance to food service management staff through regular observations of the food service operations and sanitary practices. The consultant also performs business and oversight functions, such as management of resources in a cost-effective manner, and participates in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts to ensure that food service management and nutrition care is safe and effective. Consulting RD/RDN Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition. Registered or registration eligible: The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Licensed or eligible for licensing in Nebraska and Iowa. Two year clinical experience is preferred, but will train. Travel is required and may include overnight stay; must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have reliable means of transportation.
